Choosing A Camp


Jessie Buresh
Jessie is a graduate of the University of Montana where she was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature. As a high school student, she played varsity basketball and ran track, placing in state every year. She was also a manager for the volleyball team. A nature lover, Jessie loves hiking and boating. Her hobbies include astronomy and mountain biking. Jessie is an accomplished novelist who is currently seeking a publishing contract. This is her 6th summer at Bryn Mawr and her 6th summer as a group leader.
 
Danielle DeCagna
Danielle received her graduate degree from Monmouth University's School of Social Work and Public Policy. She completed her undergraduate studies at University of Connecticut. This past year, Danielle began her degree in nursing at Muhlenberg School of Nursing. A competitive swimmer since age seven, Danielle was the captain of her varsity swim team in high school and has been lifeguarding for six years. This is her 6th summer at Bryn Mawr, 5th as a group leader and second as the Manor House Group Leader..
 
Jessica Furlong
Jessica is a graduate student in Communication Studies at Marshall University. She played four years of Division 1 volleyball for Wake Forest University and earned MVP honor as a sophomore. This will be Jessica's 3rd summer at Bryn Mawr and her second as a Group Leader.
 
Grace Gawatz
Grace just completed her junior year at Benedictine College in Atchison, KS. She is majoring in Biology with a minor in Psychology. Grace's experience in the water includes lifeguarding for three years, teaching swim lessons for the YWCA for two years, and teaching for the Red Cross for many years. Grace was also a successful swim team member for her high school as well as a soccer player for thirteen years. This is her 3rd summer at Bryn Mawr and her first as a Group Leader.
 
Lindsay Jarvis
Lindsay will be joining the LBMC staff for her 5th summer and 4rd as a Group Leader. Coming to us from Central Washington University, where she has completed a degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education, Lindsay is now a teacher in Washington State.
 
Erin Koolman
Erin, who recently completed her senior year at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, majored in music education and vocal performance. She has performed in high school and college productions. Erin also has a lot of experience joining choirs that travel and sing in countries across the world. We are excited to welcome Erin back for her second summer at LBMC, and her first as a Group Leader.
 
Sheema Nanani Budler
This will be Sheema's 4th summer at Bryn Mawr and her second as a group leader. She started her camp career on the tennis staff and living with the Manor House girls. Hailing from the UK, Sheema graduated from the University of Southampton and works at the Bryn Mawr Mountain Retreat and Conference Center during the winter months. Sheema recently married Tennis Director, Josh Budler.
 
Lindsay Roper
Lindsay recently graduated from Lock Haven University with a degree in secondary education. She has taken many drama courses on the Undergraduate level. Lindsay attended overnight camp for six summers in her youth and plans on becoming a teacher after camp. This is her 3rd summer at Bryn Mawr, and her first as a Group Leader.
 
Jacque Rose
Jacque recently graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she studied music education. Jacque has eight years of musical theater experience and over eight years of vocal training. She was a member of her high school marching band team, and has since interned in the music and theater programs at Wayne Highlands Middle School in PA. Returning for her second summer at Bryn Mawr, Jacque is excited for her leadership position as a Group Leader. After camp, she will be moving to Florida where she will complete an internship at Walt Disney World.
 
Sarah Shields
Sarah joins us for her 2nd summer at LBMC as a recent graduate of DePaul University, where she majored in education. She has a lot of experience with young children both in day care positions and nanny jobs. Sarah lived with the lodge last summer, and is enthusiastic about working with children. She is looking forward to her leadership role this summer.
 
Tanya Skinner
Tanya graduated from the University of New Mexico with a degree in Education. She currently works as a substitute teacher and has worked with children as a day camp counselor and basketball coach. Tanya is a lifelong hoops player who has played and coached competitively. We welcome Tanya to her 5th summer at LBMC and her 4rd as a Group Leader.
 
Sarah Whiteley
Sarah graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from SUNY-Oswego. She was lucky enough to spend one semester student teaching in Australia for middle school aged children and another in the United States, teaching 3rd grade. Her camp experience is extensive, having run a summer program called The Sport and Wellness Summer Camp in Hopewell, NJ and was a counselor for many summers.
