Assistant Camp Director/Director of Gymnastics |
As Assistant Camp Director, Bill is an integral part of every girl’s summer, both in ways that she is aware of and, often, in ways that she is not. From inter-camp practice to movies and trips, Bill helps juggle many of the variables of camp life and keeps our camper and staff schedules up to date. Bill is also in charge of evening security. 2010 will also be Bill’s 29th year as Bryn Mawr’s Gymnastics Director! As a professional gymnastics coach year-round, Bill coaches level 5-10 gymnasts at home in Ohio. His Level 8 team won the state championship in 2008 and his teams have taken 1st or 2nd place in the state for five out of the last six years. He is also a former Ohio High School Gymnastics Coach of the Year. Bill holds a Masters Degree in Health and Physical Education from Bowling Green State University, where he was an active member of the gymnastics team. He has taught high school physical education for more than 20 years.
