Meet our directors

For more than a decade, Lake Bryn Mawr Camp has been under the direction of Jane and Dan Kagan, who collectively bring years of experience to camp. Jane has been a camp director and administrator for nearly twenty five years, gaining her experience in her family business, Jeff Lakes Day Camp. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. Dan has a rich background in residential camping and was mentored by the late Morry Stein, former director of Camp Echo Lake. Dan is a graduate of the University of Arizona and holds an MBA from Fordham University. He is currently on the Board of Project Morry and is a former board member of ACA, New York Chapter.

With three daughters of their own, ranging in age from high school to post graduate studies, Jane and Dan know the love, dedication and passion it takes to raise healthy and happy girls. They promote the values of loyalty, beauty, merit and comradeship in every aspect of their personal and professional life.

Dan and Jane work with a year-round staff of administrators, facility staff and chefs to insure that Bryn Mawr maintains the highest level of excellence in operating a save, healthy and positive camp environment. They bring their knowledge and love to camp each summer.

Meet our directors

Britton received her BA from Duke University and her Masters in School Leadership and Administration from The George Washington University. Before returning to camping full time, she was an elementary school teacher and Assistant Vice Principal in the suburbs of Washington, DC. Britton attended Bryn Mawr for 5 years and spent many summers thereafter as a counselor and group leader.

Drew graduated from Muhlenberg College with a business degree. Immediately after college, he worked in sports and event marketing. He has worked full time in camping since 2002. Drew spent many summers at Camp Watitoh as a camper. He has worked in resident camping as counselor, group leader, and program director.

Both Drew and Britton are active members of the American Camping Association and also volunteer their time with Project Morry, a nonprofit, year-round youth development organization.

Britton and Drew met at a Young Professionals event sponsored by the American Camp Association and instantly felt the connection of sharing their passion for summer camp!
